Year 9 students at Liskeard School and Community College have been awarded their Bronze Art Award certificates by a representative of the Cornwall Heritage Trust, Lamorna Spry.

Lamorna spent time chatting with the students in both Cornish and English about their experiences and project work involving the Cornish language. The Trust has kindly funded the students’ qualifications.

The students’ main project was to work with children from Liskeard School Nursery, using drama techniques to teach Cornish words. The current Year 8 Bronze Arts Award students watched the award ceremony and then wrote reviews about the experience – it could be them accepting their awards next summer.
