Students across East Cornwall have come together at Liskeard School & Community College for a festival of highly competitive rugby, with Bude School running out the eventual winners.

The East Cornwall Under-12 Rugby Festival saw seven teams from across the region battle it out, in what was a keenly contested competition. The competition saw all three secondary schools (Looe, Liskeard and from the South East Cornwall Multi Academy Trust (SMART) take part, with some particularly tough games taking place between these schools!

Mr Mitchell, PE teacher at Liskeard School & Community College, was impressed with level of rugby played.

“We were delighted to host such a great day of competitive rugby here at Liskeard, which was played with a brilliant spirit throughout. The standard of rugby was high, particularly for such a young age group. Well done to all who took part,” he said.

Students from three SMART secondaries (Looe Community Academy, Liskeard School and Community College and community school) pose for a photo after the festival ends.
