Over 80 children enjoyed a fun packed afternoon of cricket skills in a World Cup festival. Ten groups of children each representing one of the world cup countries, had to parade with their flag and then participate in skill based activities. Some of these involved, catching, throwing at stumps, hitting cricket balls and many more. Points were added and an overall winner announced.  The winners were the Sri Lankan team.

Mustafa Shaikh (coach with the Cornwall Cricket Board) said, ” This event was a huge success and brought the spirit of Cricketing and Life skills into the curriculum” .

Oli Jones (Pe teacher), ” This festival celebrated cricket in a fun and active way. The children had a brilliant time and thanks to my Year 5 Sports leaders who helped run the activities”.
