Looe Community Academy was proud to receive the fantastic news that their newly appointed Assistant Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator, Charlotte Rose, was to be recognised for all of her efforts and achievements in supporting their students through her previous role as Teaching Assistant.

Having been nominated by the Academy for her outstanding contribution, Charlotte will be considered for Teaching Assistant of the Year 2019 with other worthy candidates from around Cornwall in the annual Teaching Personnel awards for educational staff.

Having started in education administration, Charlotte decided that her calling was for a more direct role with students and was appointed in 2017 as an Apprentice Teaching Assistant, where she excelled and was formally appointed to the staff as a qualified TA in 2018.  Her skilled approach to supporting those students that need additional help made her the ideal candidate for her new role of Assistant Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator, which she took up at the start of this academic year.

We wish her well in what will undoubtedly be a competitive field of dedicated staff that go the extra mile for their students.
