A lovely afternoon was had by all at the Trewidland Primary and Pre-School Spring Show; parents, carers, grandparents, aunts, and uncles flocked to wander around the display of fascinating entries which showed the amazing talent of the Trewidland children.

With so many exceptional entries throughout all categories it was an incredibly difficult job for the judges to choose winners. But of course, It is not all about winning prizes, but providing such a lovely display for visitors, and to show off the phenomenal skills of the children who took part.

With thirteen Spring-themed categories to choose from, the children were spoilt for choice and our show gave them the opportunity to apply SMART’s SECRET Skill this term:

Reflective River – Always has a clear direction and clear goals.  If something blocks its way, it always finds a way round the challenge.  Everyone is invited to come, take a drink, and reflect.

The children have been focusing on the Plan-Do-Review element of this SECRET skill this term; hoping to achieve level 1 – 4.  Well done to all the children who worked so hard (assisted and supported by their wonderful families) on these gorgeous creations and demonstrated their skills – over the last four weeks! All the entries were truly magnificent, and you are all Reflective Rivers!

The PTA had been busily baking and creating too and everyone enjoyed their delicious cake sale. As well as scrumptious cakes, they also sold hand-made helicopter story books which were created by the Gruffalo Class, beautiful felt bookmarks created by the PTA members and second-hand uniform – thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this wonderful afternoon. It was lovely to have our ever-growing school community together for this very special occasion – thank you to our wonderful families for coming along and supporting us so brilliantly! We hope to make this an annual event to celebrate in our school calendar!
