Empowering Young People with Learning Disabilities through the AllMove Programme
Liskeard School & Community College's ARC students recently took part in the EFL Week of Action alongside Plymouth Argyle Academy players Caleb Roberts and Kieran Edworthy as a component of Mencap's AllMove Programme. This inclusive initiative offers a wide variety of activities aimed at encouraging movement and nurturing a passion for sports amongst individuals with learning disabilities.
For the past 5 years, Liskeard School has actively participated in the AllMove programme in collaboration with Mencap, giving students the chance to explore various sports, made possible through generous funding from Mencap. With the support of Mencap and in partnership with Plymouth Argyle Academy Trust, the AllMove programme has played a crucial role in providing opportunities for young individuals with learning disabilities to participate in sports and physical activities, highlighting the significance of inclusivity and community support.
