We are seeking to appoint a highly effective, passionate and ambitious teacher and leader to the post of Head of Year (we welcome applications from all subject specialisms, however a candidate able to teach Physical Education would be ideal). The ideal candidate would be a knowledgeable, expert teacher and have the drive, expertise and resilience to work with others to support the school’s vision for academic and pastoral excellence with inclusivity for all. The Head of Year would be required to work closely with a range of stakeholders to ensure the best outcome for students’ learning, personal development, safeguarding and welfare.
Our pastoral structure includes Heads of Year for each year group, supported by non-teaching Assistant Heads of Year. Applications are welcomed from existing school leaders as well as teachers with the knowledge, skills and potential to take on a leadership role.
Prospective applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible as we may choose to shortlist and interview prior to the closing date. Consideration will be given to a later start date to accommodate existing contracts and minimum notice periods. If you would like to find out more about the role or would like to arrange a visit to the school, please contact the PA to the Headteacher rmacdonald@liskeard.net
Closing date is 9am on Thursday 19th June 2025
