    Dobwalls Community Primary

    Contract: Fixed Term until 23 July 2027

    Salary: Grade D, £24,796 per annum pro rata (pay award pending)

    Hours: Post 1 – 19.15 hours per week, 38.6 weeks per year (term time only plus 3 inset days). Actual salary approx. £10,870 per annum.

    Post 2 – 30 hours per week, 38.6 weeks per year (term time only plus 3 inset days). Actual salary approx. £17,040 per annum.

    We are seeking two Teaching Assistants to support our wonderful children. If you are enthusiastic and have high expectations for children's achievements, we would love to hear from you. The successful applicants must be flexible, adaptable, able to respond to the needs of our children and be excellent team players with good interpersonal skills and dedication. We believe the ability to form positive relationships with children is key. You should be able to work using your own initiative and bring forward ideas as well as follow planning given to meet the child’s needs. A good level of literacy, both written and spoken, is also required. Post 1 will be based in KS1, our early years foundation stage, and include a range of responsibilities including supporting the class, working 1:1 with children with additional needs and leading small group work. Post 2 will initially be supporting our year 6 class.

    Enthusiasm, drive, creativity, initiative, and organisation skills are essential. Experience of working with additional needs is desirable. Applicants are invited to look at our website to find more details about the school. These roles are fixed-term due to special educational needs funding.

    Working hours are:

    Post 1 – 5 mornings per week (Monday to Friday), 8:40am until 12:00pm, plus Thursday afternoons, 12:50pm until 15:20pm

    Post 2 – Monday to Friday, 8:50am until 15:20pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
